Chocolate Making

What do you get your loved ones for valentines this year? Roses are so cliche! This course is the perfect solution: learn to make your own inexpensive chocolates that are perfect for the love in your life

We’ll spend the afternoon with a hands on class learning how to make four chocolates:

Rosemary Truffles– A rosemary infused chocolate ganache.
Dipped Caramels– Gooey caramel dipped in decadent milk chocolate
Easy Truffles– Delicious chocolate truffles you can whip up in minutes
Molded Chocolates– Learn how to use chocolate molds to create beautiful molded chocolates, you can fill with any flavour.

 

Here are some answers to common concerns:

  • You do not have to be trained in Switzerland to make your own chocolates.
  • These chocolates actually taste amazing. Some even have fancy fillings.
  • It doesn’t take all day. You can whip these up in as little as 30 minutes.

Amy will cover how simple it is to make these products in a hands on teaching style, where to purchase the ingredients (or purchase a chocolate making kit after the workshop), all the while meeting new people.

 

 

You’ll get:

  • The opportunity to practice making a four types of chocolates under the guidance of a professional confectioner. That way you can take home your newly acquired chocolate making skills and know that you can do it again by yourself.
  • Recipe: We’ll give you the recipes for you to use again and again.
  • Chocolates to share with your friends and family.

Amy began by making truffles as Christmas presents, then expanding in to molded chocolates and other confections. Amy has been making chocolates for family and friends for close to 10 years and she just recently opened Amy’s BitterSweet Candy Company and has been selling her creations at the Guelph Farmers Market.
