Facilitated discussion on climate change
October 15, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
There is so much information out there about the state of our earth, and much of the communication that happens about climate change is based around information and facts sharing. It is important to remember, however, the humanity of those receiving the messages. We are people with reactions, with questions, with feelings about what we hear in the media and in the streets about the issue of climate change.
The St. James Environment and Social Justice Committee are hosting an event, co-sponsored by Transition Guelph, on October 15th to address the human emotional reaction to climate change and the information we receive about it. There will be a 6pm free community dinner followed by a facilitated discussion in both large and small groups and the event will wrap up at 9pm. We are hoping for 40 – 60 people from the neighbourhood and community to attend.
