“Resilience Through Theatre” with Nicholas Walsh

May 9, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Free (donations gratefully accepted)

This workshop is for people interested in acting, dancing, environmental sustainability, and/or community resilience. Experience is not necessary, but an interest to move improvisationally would be helpful.

Participants will be led through a series of simple exercises in an investigation of community resilience as it relates to collaborative creation and their own personal physical vocabulary. The goal is to assist participants in becoming aware of their own bodies as a vehicle for positive change.
Please wear comfortable clothes. This eventis appropriate for participants 16 and older.

RSVP on Facebook:

Nicholas received his Honours degree in English Literature at the University of Waterloo and his MA in English/Drama at the University of Toronto. With The MT Space, Nicholas assisted in the creation of Body 13 and The Last 15 Seconds, and also helped to shape both the IMPACT.09, IMPACT.11, and IMPACT.13 Festivals as a member of their Programming Committee. He also was director of The Studio Players’ production of The Fear Project.
