Are you looking to get connected? Get your hands dirty? Share the gifts you have? We want to hear from you! With so many projects and active working groups, there’s something for everyone to take part in and join the TG family:
Here’s some upcoming volunteer opportunities:
- Appleseed Collective Neighbourhood Ambassadors – The Appleseed Collective is a non-profit working group of Transition Guelph, whose volunteers harvest area vegetables, fruits and nuts, and share the bounty with Guelph soup kitchens and food banks. Help Appleseed Collective to find and harvest the bounty in our community! Walk around your neighbourhood with a friend or two, looking for fruit trees, bushes and nuts. Map out your street, making note of where sharable food is growing. Click here to learn more.
- Resilience Festival Planners – Our annual festival takes place in March, but we’ve already started planning events! If you are interested in support an event, running your own event, or helping with logistics, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Getting involved with Transition Guelph is easy! There isn’t a high or low limit to how much you can be involved, so don’t be scared to just say hello! Signing up for the newsletter is a great way to stay connected with news and updates. If you’re interested in a specific working group, you can get in touch with the contact for that working group directly, or just shoot us an email and we’ll get you connected with the right people!
Many of events are social and fun. Getting involved with Transition Guelph often means socializing, learning, and connecting with people, not necessarily donating your time. The best way to get involved is to come out to an event and meet some like-minded people. You can email us at email@example.com, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.
