The local economy working group is happy to announce that we have received funding from the City of Guelph’s Wellbeing Initiative to further enhance the Guelph Wellington Time Bank. To get the ball rolling, the team has been working hard on launching a new time bank system where people can register and participate.
Within the Time Bank, for every hour that you volunteer to meet the needs of another member, you earn a time credit for the exchange. This time credit can then be redeemed for services from any other member of the Time Bank. Every person has something to share — skills, knowledge, talent, strength, or companionship — that is of value to another, and everyone’s time is valued equally.
We welcome new members at any time. There is a three-step process for joining:
1. Fill in an application. Join here!
2. Attend an orientation.
3. Finalize your profile.
Time Bank is free to join, thanks to financial support from Transition Guelph, the Elevator Project, and the City of Guelph’s Community Wellbeing Grant Program. To contact a Time Bank Coordinator, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to learn more, you can visit http://www.transitionguelph.org/timebank.
